Brat Generator
This free brat font generator and brat text generator turns your words into a static image with custom colors, blur, pixelation, alignment, and social-ready sizes. It exports PNG, JPEG, or WebP in your browser; the output is a static image rather than a TTF/OTF font file, Unicode copy-paste typeface, or video.

What this free Brat Generator makes
A Brat Generator is an image-making tool: type a phrase, choose the look, and export the visible canvas. It also covers the phrases brat font generator and brat text generator without pretending to distribute a font. The result is a flattened static graphic, so its background, narrow lettering, blur, and pixelated edges stay together when you post or import it elsewhere.
The live preview uses the same browser canvas composition as the downloaded file. You can select a preset or custom background, choose a text color, keep or disable lowercase, adjust text size and blur, add pixelation, and align lines to the center, right, or justified width. These are the real controls available here; mirror, vertical flip, noise, lyric animation, and video creation are outside the current tool.
How the preview builds the look
The browser preview narrows and softens the lettering, with optional blur and pixelation. Its local fallback chain starts with Arial Narrow when available, then uses other browser-safe sans-serif options. For the source treatment, licensing context, and Canva or CapCut workflows, read the font treatment guide.
Use the built-in green preset with dark text, or open the palette reference for its sourced value, screen conversions, CSS, and contrast guidance. White, black, pink, transparent, and custom background or text colors remain available in the editor.
Output formats and transparent images
Choose a square canvas for posts and artwork, 9:16 for stories and phone screens, or 16:9 for thumbnails, slides, and banners. Square output can be adjusted from 512 to 2048 pixels; vertical and wide modes use 1080 × 1920 and 1920 × 1080. Short phrases usually remain most legible, but the renderer wraps longer text and automatically reduces its size to fit.
| Method | Transparency | Best use |
|---|---|---|
| PNG download | Yes | Crisp text, overlays, and dependable image quality. |
| JPEG download | No | Solid backgrounds or destinations that specifically require JPEG. |
| WebP download | Yes | Compact web images when the destination supports WebP. |
| Copy image | Yes, as PNG | Fast pasting in browsers that allow image clipboard access. |
PNG is the dependable choice for sharp text and transparent output. WebP can also preserve transparency while often producing a smaller file. JPEG is widely compatible for solid-color graphics but cannot store transparent pixels, so choosing JPEG with a transparent background switches the export back to PNG. Copy image writes a PNG to the clipboard in supported secure browsers; if the browser blocks image clipboard access, downloading the PNG is the reliable fallback.
Uses, privacy, and limits
Use the output for an original social post, meme, playlist graphic, invitation, reaction image, announcement, slide, or personal cover. A download is only a layout export and grants no rights to somebody else’s lyrics, trademarks, names, photographs, or artwork. Enter text you wrote or have permission to use, avoid copying official artwork, and review the rights required by the place where you intend to publish it.
Rendering and export happen locally with browser canvas technology. No account or image upload is required, and no cloud project history is stored. Basic analytics may record that a tool action occurred, but the text field and canvas are masked from session analytics and are not placed in event labels. Browser font availability can slightly change the result, while image clipboard support varies most on mobile and in-app browsers.
Brat Generator FAQ
Is the Brat Generator free?
Yes. The generator is free to use, needs no account, and adds no watermark. Image creation runs locally in your browser.
What font does the Brat Generator use?
The canvas first tries Arial Narrow when it is available, then uses browser-safe sans-serif fallbacks and compresses the text horizontally. Read the font guide for the documented cover treatment and licensing context.
Do I need to install anything?
No installation is required. The editor uses fonts already available to the browser and exports an image without hosting or distributing font files.
What goes to the clipboard?
The button copies the rendered PNG, not editable text. Plain text cannot preserve the background, horizontal scaling, blur, or pixelation; download a PNG if clipboard access is unavailable.
Can I use the green preset?
Yes. The built-in green is #8ACE00 and uses dark text by default. See the palette reference for conversions and contrast details.
Can I make a brat image with a transparent background?
Yes. Choose the Transparent preset and export PNG or WebP to preserve transparency. JPEG does not support transparent pixels.
Does the Brat Generator work on mobile?
Yes. The editor works in current mobile and desktop browsers. Image clipboard support varies by browser, but image download remains available.
Is my text or image uploaded?
No. Text rendering and image creation stay in your browser. No account is required, and your canvas remains on your device through download.
Does this generator make Brat videos?
No. This tool creates static PNG, JPEG, or WebP images. Video, lyric animation, audio, and MP4 export are outside its scope.
