What Is the Brat Font?
The lowercase word on Brat's green album cover was set in Arial, then compressed horizontally and deliberately processed at low resolution. It is not a downloadable font called “Brat.” Arial Narrow is a common substitute for the proportions. ROM, Dinamo's custom typeface, belongs to the wider campaign system rather than the green cover word.

Dinamo's first-party account separates the typeface from the finished effect: the cover begins with Arial, but its compressed shape and visibly low-resolution treatment do much of the visual work. That is why pages offering a single “Brat font” download can be misleading. This site's generator makes a new static image with a browser-safe fallback stack; it neither downloads nor distributes the fonts named below.

Direct answer
What is the Brat font name?
For the main green cover, the answer is Arial—not a separate typeface named “Brat.” Dinamo explains that the familiar result came from narrowing Arial and enlarging deliberately low-resolution artwork. ROM appears across other parts of the campaign. Unrelated handwritten fonts that happen to use “Brat” in their listing are not the Charli XCX cover typeface.
A font name alone therefore does not describe the finished visual. Lowercase text, horizontal compression, loose raster edges, spacing, alignment, and the surrounding color field all affect the result. Can I download the Brat font for free?
There is no official free font file called “Brat” for the main cover. Arial and Arial Narrow are licensed typefaces supplied with particular operating systems or applications. Microsoft's documentation lists products that include the condensed variant and directs people seeking distribution rights to Monotype; it is not a general free-font download page.
Use either Arial variant only when your device, application, or project license already permits it. If neither is available, select a condensed sans-serif provided under terms that fit your project and recreate the width and texture in your editor. Review the font's own license instead of assuming that “free download” means free for redistribution or commercial use.
A safer no-download option

How to make Brat-style text in Canva
The most stable Canva workflow is to import the lettering as an image overlay. Canva's available fonts can change with product, plan, account, and region, so this guide does not promise that a named font will always be present. A transparent PNG preserves the compressed, blurred treatment without depending on Canva's current font catalog.
- Open the image maker, enter a short phrase, and choose the Transparent background preset.
- Adjust lowercase, text size, alignment, blur, and pixelation while the words remain readable.
- Download the result as PNG so the transparent pixels are preserved.
- Upload the PNG to Canva and place it over a rectangle filled with #8ACE00 or another background color.
- Keep the plain wording in your project notes or alt text when accessibility and search context matter.
If you need fully editable text, choose a condensed sans-serif that is actually available in your Canva account, verify its license for the intended use, and treat it as an approximation. Font availability and editor controls are product details that can change, while the uploaded PNG workflow remains predictable.

How to add Brat-style text in CapCut
Use a transparent PNG overlay when you want the Brat-style treatment to stay consistent in CapCut. Exporting the lettering first avoids relying on a particular font library or platform version. The image remains static, but CapCut can position, scale, time, and animate that overlay like another visual asset.
- Create a transparent PNG at a size close to the video's final frame so the lettering stays clear.
- Import that PNG into CapCut as an overlay above the video or color background.
- Resize proportionally, position it inside the safe area, and set its duration on the timeline.
- Preview at the final resolution before exporting; aggressive enlargement can exaggerate the pixel texture.

Image versus Unicode
Can I copy and paste the Brat font?
You can copy the finished image, but not the visual treatment as editable text. The familiar lettering is regular alphabetic text turned into raster artwork through compression and low-resolution processing. It is not a special Unicode alphabet, so pasting the letters alone into Instagram, TikTok, a bio, or a document will not carry the style with them.
Use “Copy image” in the generator when your browser supports clipboard images, or download PNG and insert the file. For editable copy-paste characters, a Unicode font generator solves a different task: it substitutes special Unicode symbols that may render inconsistently and are not the type used on the Brat cover. Keep important names and information in plain text for readability.
